VimpelCom will organize VPN network for the Far East customs authority

JSC VimpelCom (Beeline Business) announced a victory in an open competition on the organization of a virtual private network (IP/VPN) for the Far East customs authority (DVTU). The new network will connect DVTU to fourteen regional customs in the territory of the Far Eastern Federal District – from Vladivostok, Nakhodka and Khabarovsk to Yakutsk, Anadyr and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.

VimpelCom will provide to DVTU services in data transmission in IP/VPN MPLS network within the public contract signed for 2011 according to the results of an electronic auction. The amount of the public contract was 20.58 million rubles.

The created IP VPN network not only integrates local computer networks of customs, but also allows to use advantages of high-speed data transmission to carrying out within network of video conferences in real time and the organizations of digital telephony.

"Recently we observe the increasing demand among government institutions for use of modern telecommunication services which are capable to provide economy of both temporary, and financial resources. So in 2010 the share of public contracts increased up to 35% of the total number of corporate clients Beeline Business in the Far East. At the same time among the state customers services of broadband access, the mobile and fixed telephony are equally demanded", - Treacle Andrey, the vice president for development of corporate business of VimpelCom company noted.
