History

2025: 50,000 users

In January 2024, a digital service for professional assistance to pets using artificial intelligence, Vetsy, appeared on the Russian market. As of the end of January 2025, more than 50,000 users already use the platform. The company announced this on January 30, 2025.

Vetsy combines two areas: a subscription with access to a chat with a veterinarian and a service aggregator, where animal owners can choose a specialist for his profile, experience and reviews. In early 2025, offline recording with veterinarians and calling a doctor at home became available to users of the service.

One of the key technological features of Vetsy was the use of artificial intelligence. AI algorithms help veterinarians advise animal owners in a chat, providing short and prompt answers to typical questions about a pet's condition. This speeds up initial interactions with the service and offloads doctors so they can focus on complex or non-standard cases.

The total investment in the project amounted to 120 million rubles. At the first stage, the project attracted 20 million rubles, which made it possible to develop MVP and test the market in three weeks. The next round of investments, in the amount of 100 million rubles, ensured the scaling of the platform and the introduction of new technological solutions. In the near future, the owners of the service plan to cover up to 10% of the market, attract up to 7,000 veterinarians and connect about 1000 veterinary clinics to the platform.

There are more than 60 million pets in Russia, and their owners are increasingly looking for solutions to take care of their pets. We see that technology can make this process much easier. Digitalization is not only a trend, but also a necessity. Technology penetrates a wide variety of spheres, but veterinary medicine remained on the sidelines. Our goal is to make it accessible, convenient and modern by offering tools that are beneficial to both animal owners and industry professionals,
said the founders of the project, Alexander Shcherbina and Nikolai Voronov.

The project plans for 2025 include not only expanding the range of services, but also developing charitable initiatives using technology. The team is also working to expand artificial intelligence features and develop a CRM system for veterinary clinics.
