SATEL began using Micron microcircuits in its equipment - now 19 domestic integrated circuits manufactured by Micron of 4 types are used in the line of its own SATEL equipment, including voltage stabilizers and an operational amplifier, which replaced foreign-made ICs. SATEL announced this on April 17, 2025.

SATEL was one of the first among IT companies to begin working out the application of domestic ECB. As of April 2025, this is a real import substitution case and an example of how mass-produced microcircuits of domestic production can already work in telecommunications equipment. Thus, dependence on imports in critical infrastructure is reduced, - said Evgeny Kuzmin, Deputy General Director for Commercial Activities of Mikron JSC.

Micron microcircuits are used in the DDS RTU control panel and RTU telephones.

The company "SATEL" constantly develops its competencies, in cooperation with Micron we produce our own telephone equipment and are going to achieve new ambitious goals. The dispatching console and phones are included in the TORP register, which confirms their compliance with established norms and standards for domestic solutions in the field of industrial communications, - said Alexander Mikhailenko, director of the project production department of SATEL.

Obtaining THORP status

SATEL received the status of "Telecommunications Equipment of Russian Origin" (TORP) on the FYDS RTU console. Registration in the register of the Ministry of Industry and Trade confirms that the equipment meets the established norms and standards for domestic solutions in the field of industrial communications. As part of the ongoing projects, SATEL has already shipped the first serial batch of products. The company announced this on February 3, 2025.

The DFS RTU control panel was developed by the R&D department of SATEL and is a multifunctional conversation device for organizing a dispatcher's workplace with telephone, loudspeaker and selector communication capabilities. The solution allows you to connect several terminals into a single network, manage call routing and organize multi-party conference calls.

The color touch screen is a single interface that allows you to establish communication through different communication networks. The terminal panel is equipped with programmable mechanical buttons, a plug-in headset and the ability to use additional modules. Thus, the design of the DFS RTU console was designed to facilitate the operation of users and improve the efficiency of the dispatch service.

The hardware of the console is based on processors architectures, x86 while supporting - ARM processors Russian of production. All electronic modules were developed by SATEL specialists using the Russian electronic component base, as well as taking into account the specifics of industry requirements. The device has a passive cooling system for all components, an ergonomic design with adjusting the desired tilt of the case and wide connectivity.

SATEL implements the full cycle of creating a control panel. In the R&D division, technical experts carry out work on the design of circuit engineering, the topology of printed circuit boards, design design, product layout, as well as software development, manufacture and testing of new samples.

Before the start of mass production of FADS, RTU passed the necessary cycle of tests, during which it was confirmed that it met all the requirements of the industrial telecommunications equipment market. In addition, the control panel undergoes mandatory testing for operability and compatibility with equipment of other systems.
