2025: Inclusion in the register of domestic software
The register of domestic software included UMKAMmaterials (Universal Methodological Complex of Actual Materials) from Modeling and Digital Twins (MCD JSC) - a software complex for managing data on material properties, designed to store, modify, process basic information about materials. This will allow Russian companies to manage complex processes for collecting, analyzing and using new data with a solution that officially meets the requirements for Russian software products. The MCD announced this on February 7, 2025.
The UMKAMmaterials system is a network database for storing data about materials, in which users can interact with each other, updating and exchanging data about materials within groups, departments, enterprises. The solution allows you to organize the properties of materials and provides users with such opportunities as:
- Tracking of material data sources, comparison of materials with each other by various parameters, including values of variances of characteristics;
- Systematization of data on the properties of materials located in different sources;
- Avoiding duplication of materials and the need for repeated experimental studies of the same materials to clarify their properties;
- Expedite testing, qualification and certification of materials;
- Access to complete and reliable data to select optimal materials for specific applications;
- Prediction of material behavior due to direct association with CAE products that allow calculating the behavior of the material in the product;
- Accumulating experience and generating statistics on materials conducted by experiments for the further use of more advanced methods and techniques (AI).
UMKAMmaterials is a domestic alternative to the Ansys GRANTA MI system, providing a single source of reliable verified information about materials and guaranteeing the consistency, accuracy and availability of these data. The system for February 2025 includes more than 240,000 materials, including universal structural materials, materials with temperature and pressure properties, ASME materials, powder metallurgy materials, additive, aerospace and electromagnetic materials, etc. It allows you to extract the necessary data, adjust the properties of materials in relation to the task at hand, solve the issue of data traceability, and provide easy access to the origin of each material and the data underlying engineering solutions.
