Arrest in bribe case
Deputy Minister health care Udmurtia Natalya Kropocheva was arrested for two months on charges of taking a bribe of ₽1,3 million. This was announced on February 9, 2025 by the joint press service of the courts of the republic. The official will be in custody until April 6, 2025.
According to TASS, the Industrial District Court of Izhevsk decided to arrest after considering the petition of the investigator. When making the decision, the court took into account the severity of the charge and the accompanying circumstances of the case.
According to the investigation, Natalya Kropocheva, who previously held the post of chief physician of the city hospital No. 2, received a bribe from a representative of a ritual company for assistance in concluding an agreement on the transportation of the bodies of the dead from a medical institution. The contract provided for long-term cooperation between a medical organization and a company providing ritual services.
According to the agency, the criminal case was initiated under Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of Russia (receiving a bribe on an especially large scale). Simultaneously with the arrest of the deputy minister, her acquaintance was detained, who is in the case as an intermediary in the transfer of a bribe. The term of arrest for both defendants is set until April 6, 2025.

As part of the investigation, documents related to the activities of the medical institution are checked, witnesses are interrogated, and the financial transactions of the suspects are analyzed.[1]
