In February 2025, the Center for Traffic Management of the Yaroslavl Region announced a competition for renting complexes for fixing traffic violations. The tender cost is 3.5 billion rubles.. According to the documentation, the cameras will be installed at 283 addresses in the settlements of the region.
According to Kommersant, the equipment will be placed on linear sections of roads at 149 points, at 100 intersections and 34 sections to control the rules for stopping and parking vehicles. All complexes must be installed by September 1, 2025.
In Yaroslavl, cameras will appear in 111 locations, where they will record speeding, driving to a prohibiting traffic light, using the phone while driving, crossing the stop line and violating road marking requirements.
The key points for installing cameras will be the intersection of Moskovsky Prospekt and Krivov Street, Pushkin and Ushinsky Streets near Volkov Square, Svoboda Street and Tolbukhin Avenue, as well as other major city highways.
To control the ban on stops and parking, equipment will be placed on 12 sites, including Svoboda Street from Victory to Tchaikovsky and October Avenue from Red Square to Republican. Separate complexes will be installed in pedestrian zones on embankments, in Deputatsky Lane and on Kirov Street.
Cameras will also appear in other cities of the region: Rybinsk, Tutaev, Danilov, Poshekhonye, Uglich, Myshkin, Gavrilov-Yam, Rostov and Pereslavl. In addition, the complexes will be installed in regional centers and on federal highways.
The contractor for the project will be determined on February 26, 2025. After installation, the complexes will record a wide range of traffic violations, which should improve safety on the roads of the region.[1]
