2025: Plant launch for ₽100 million UAV engines
In February 2025, the Gorny-TsOT company launched in Kemerovo serial production of collector-free engines for unmanned aerial vehicles as part of the Kuzbass Sky project. Investments in the project exceeded ₽100 million, including a preferential loan from the Kuzbass Industrial Development Fund.
According to the Kemerovo investment portal, the company has mastered the full cycle of engine production by ROTOM PY5210 and ROTOM PY3115, including component manufacturing, assembly and testing. Production capacity is 1 thousand engines per month.
Governor of Kuzbass Ilya Seredyuk noted that these engines can be used in mechanical engineering, in the production of medical equipment, as well as in the creation of aircraft-type drones, reconnaissance quadcopters and FPV drones.
Engines find use in various industries, including the production of unmanned aerial vehicles of the aircraft type, reconnaissance quadcopters and FPV-drones. They are also used in medical equipment and mechanical engineering, providing high accuracy and reliability of the devices.
The engines are produced entirely from domestic components and are highly energy efficient. The first batches of products are already supplied to customers in the Moscow region and Krasnodar Territory.
The director of the enterprise, Andrei Bukreev, said that the project received the support of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, which provided access to expert consultations and state support. The project was included in the TOP-100 of the forum "Strong Ideas for the New Time."
The launch of production was due to the cessation of supplies of foreign analogues due to sanctions, which threatened the release of explosion safety sensors at the enterprise. The new production made it possible not only to meet our own needs, but also to start deliveries to other Russian companies.[1]
