Based on subscriber requests, Miatel began with the introduction of VoLTE, and then expanded the service through WiFi Calling.

The EPDG from VAS Experts was fully operational, and its integration with other operator information systems did not pose any problems with VoLTE running. However, in the conditions of the pilot launch of technology in Russia and sanctions pressure, a number of organizational challenges arose. In particular, obtaining an EPDG service domain in GSMA required additional time and perseverance in communication. It also required a detailed study of the features of working with security certificates and SIM card configuration.

Some difficulties arose when adapting VoWiFi for various models. During smartphones the integration, Miatel and VAS Experts conducted extensive studies of configuration, OS Android modems and carrier configuration. It turned out that there is no universal way to configure VoWiFi for all devices - each model must be configured individually. This led to the need to communicate with manufacturers mobile phones who were reluctant to make contact. Miatel and VAS Experts had to persevere, use industry connections, but even in such conditions, the developer successfully launched a service for a mobile operator.

As a result of the joint project, the following was achieved:

• EPDG is integrated into the operator's infrastructure.
• A knowledge base has been created to further scale the service.
• The features of VoWiFi in operator networks virtual have been studied.
