As of March 2025, 163 units of equipment were connected to the system, including 122 road trains, 26 quarry trains, 9 loaders and 6 excavators. Onboard sets of sensors are installed on mining equipment, information from which with the status of the state of equipment, geoposition and taking into account flights is transmitted to the control room.

In real time, dispatchers analyze the map with the movement of mining equipment and detailed information about each machine: movement, waiting, unloading/loading of rock mass, statistics on the volume of work, downtime. High process performance is supported by a specially created operations control center. Part of the system is a tablet in the cabins of drivers and drivers, with which they can record possible breakdowns of equipment and communicate directly with the control room.

The introduction of the dispatching system made it possible to manage processes on the shift horizon, establish data collection, monitor kimberlite ore transportation flows in real time, instantly monitor key indicators of equipment efficiency and quickly make decisions on their basis.

On the basis of an automated system for managing mining transport work, the Ideal Shift project was launched. We decided to combine into one process several transactions that were previously separated in time. Now at the technological sites - pit stops - the equipment is simultaneously refueled, inspected and carried out the necessary repairs. As a result, the maintenance of dump trucks was reduced from 60 to 15 minutes, - said the director of the Center for the Production System of ALROSA Nicolai Borisov.

As part of this task, we went beyond standard solutions and in record time made two projects in one. We did not limit ourselves to the introduction of dispatching only at the quarry, we developed and implemented a unified system for monitoring ore flow. This means that we not only control the processes at Zarnitsa, but also get a complete picture of the movement of road trains.
