2025: Implementation of NGFW "Continent 4"

System IT integrator Holding "Tsikada" and "Security Code" completed the integration of NGFW "Continent 4" into the infrastructure of the Unified Centralized Digital Platform (ECP) of the Pension and Social Insurance Fund of Russia. This was announced by "Cicada" on March 11, 2025.

As part of the modernization program of the information security state information system support system "Unified Centralized Digital Platform in the Social Sphere" (CSIB ECP) of the EME, companies carried out import substitution a foreign solution for the domestic one.

Previously, the IT infrastructure of the EDS defended the foreign product FortiGate. However, taking into account the requirements of the current Russian legislation on the need to use domestic information security tools, there was a need to replace the solution.

The solution was implemented in 88 regional divisions of the EME and the central office, as well as in 129 territorial bodies located in the new constituent entities of the Russian Federation. Integration of NGFW "Continent 4" in these locations made it possible to create a single reliable security system covering the entire infrastructure of the Social Fund of Russia.

The main quality of Continent 4 is the centralized management of a large number of devices, which is especially valuable for the EME with its geographically distributed infrastructure, and the availability of a comprehensive set of protection tools that cover the main current cyber threats, said Fyodor Dbar, commercial director of Security Code.

In preparation for the implementation of the security system, the specialists of the CICADA holding conducted a thorough analysis of the IT infrastructure of the Pension and Social Insurance Fund of Russia, which made it possible to develop an optimal protection scheme that takes into account the features of each region and facility.
