2025: Implementation of Intelligent Road Health Monitoring System

In Ugra, an intelligent road condition control system is being introduced. Artificial intelligence helps to quickly identify and process information about problem areas on city streets. Smart patrolmen are already working in Khanty-Mansiysk and Surgut, and are also being tested on the streets of Nizhnevartovsk. Softlogic (Softlogic) announced this on March 13, 2025.

On duty machines are installed software and hardware complexes of neural network surveillance, consisting of video cameras and a computing unit with neural networks, which during each flight record the state of the road. The intelligent system analyzes camera recordings and detects defects that need to be eliminated: violations of road markings, snow piles, as well as violations of the work of road services.

Further, the information is transmitted to the Ugra Roads GIS, from where notifications of identified shortcomings are sent to the responsible services and administrations of municipalities. If a violation is detected and confirmed in the system, it is transferred to contractors for elimination: snow cleaning, repair of roadway sections, updating markings or troubleshooting with street lighting. After the work, the contractors record the result by applying a photo confirmation. Further, the municipal authorities check the result and can confirm the execution or resume the task of eliminating the defect.

If the experience of the three cities is successful, smart duty officers will patrol roads throughout the region.
