2025: Smartwatt EVC AC Electric Charging Stations Introduction

ENERGON is bringing to market a series of AC electric charging stations SMARTWATT EVC, designed for charging electric vehicles and hybrids in home and commercial conditions. Unlike DC stations, which can negatively affect the battery life, AC charging extends its service life. The company announced this on March 14, 2025.

The development of the infrastructure of charging stations is becoming especially relevant in light of large-scale plans for the production of Russian electric vehicles and sequential hybrids. Within the framework of the federal project "Production of innovative transport," which is part of the national project "Industrial provision of transport mobility," it is envisaged not only the development of the domestic automotive industry, but also the creation of conditions for its effective operation. According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, by 2030 it is planned to produce 183.85 thousand electric vehicles and hybrids, which requires the expansion of the network of charging stations.

This series of SMARTWATT EVC electric charging stations includes single-phase and three-phase AC stations with a power of 7 to 22 kW for household use, as well as three-phase commercial stations with a power of 22 to 44 kW, supporting the OCPP 1.6J protocol for integration with charging service operators. All models are compatible with electric cars and hybrid cars.

The stations are compact and feature remote control via a mobile app, allowing users to monitor the charging process, set up schedules and track power consumption. The devices have a Russian-language interface, the ability to restrict access using RFID cards, built-in power balancing functions and a measuring transformer. Each station comes with a high-strength five-meter cable, and accessories for installation on a free-standing rack are provided for easy installation. The level of IP54 protection allows the use of stations in conditions of exposure to dust, moisture and precipitation.

One of the key advantages of the series is the ability to integrate with solar power plants. This allows renewable energy to be used to charge a car, reducing electricity costs and making the process of operating an electric vehicle as environmentally friendly as possible.

State initiatives require the creation of an affordable and reliable network of chargers, which makes the launch of this series of SMARTWATT EVC charging stations a timely step to support the development of electric vehicles in Russia. We are closely monitoring market trends and changes, so we have developed a line of AC charging stations that meets the current needs of users both in the private and commercial sectors and meets safety and energy efficiency standards, "said Alexander Bespalov, Director of the New Product Development Department of ENERGON.
