2025: Automation of Financial Planning Processes

Advanced, together with AB InBev Efes, implemented a project to automate financial planning and analysis processes on the Optimacros platform. Advanced announced this on March 27, 2025. For 5 months, all financial planning models were transferred from Anaplan, and additional functionality was developed. AB InBev Efes has created a Competence Center, as of March 2025, the company independently supports and develops the solution. The project ensured the continuity of critical business processes.

Within the framework of the project, AB InBev Efes transferred 14 models from the Anaplan platform to Optimacros for financial planning and analysis of production areas, logistics procurement and personnel, which combined the work of central office employees and 11 production sites. Before the start of the project, the AB InBev Efes team actively studied the Russian market for integrated planning solutions. Among the main selection criteria were highlighted: high performance, support for calculations with deep detail, the ability to multi-user work, logging user actions, information security, the ability to support the system in-house, an intuitive interface.

In 2023, Proof-of-Concept completed a project to develop a warehouse cost planning model through the efforts of Advanced, allowing AB InBev Efes team to test the solution and ensure that Optimacros platform meets all functional requirements and has the necessary potential to further scale.

AB InBev Efes has a high level of process maturity. We were faced with the task of transferring critical functions to the platform as carefully and seamlessly as possible, without disrupting the work of the financial division and ensuring business continuity. To implement the project, we attracted a large team, thanks to which we were able not only to carry out a smooth transfer of existing models, but also to add new ones, forming a single financial planning loop on the Optimacros platform, "said Fedor Matveev, General Director of Advanced.

The transition to the financial planning and analysis platform was implemented in several stages. First, Advanced specialists conducted an audit Anaplan of models working in. The online transfer of data from Anaplan to Optimacros was made possible thanks to a special A2O application developed by Advanced. It made it possible to fully automate the transfer of model structure and partially adapt the formulas, which significantly accelerated the process. Next, a pilot version of the transfer of one of the models was prepared and after working out all the inconsistencies, the solution was scaled to the remaining functional blocks with which AB InBev Efes financial division works. Specialists of the customer's team were also actively involved IT in the implementation of the project, the Competence Center was formed, which allows Optimacros to be supported by AB InBev Efes. The project was completed at the end of 2024.

As of March 2025, more than 100 users on the Optimacros platform are working together to calculate the forecast, budget and actual plan for analyzing production and logistics costs, as well as personnel costs. In the future, it is planned to develop a zero-base budgeting module (ZBB), launch planning for the second arm in the transport and logistics model, connect the procurement function for joint planning, as well as a commercial function in terms of accounting for commercial investments.

Optimacros technologies and Advanced expertise made it possible to create a solution that not only replaced the previous system, but also offered additional features.
