BCC TelecomTV

The IPTV solution TelecomTV is the universal scalable platform of providing multimedia services based on different technologies of access networks.

Among advantages of the solution there is a universal flexible architecture allowing to consider any nuances of network infrastructure of the telecom operator. A wide choice of subscriber devices allows the operator to connect subscribers on any technology (over IP network of the operator, DVB-C, DOCSIS or OTT), providing an identical set of multimedia services to end users.

The most difficult component of any IPTV platform — middleware — in the solution TelecomTV is developed so that to provide fast start of the project and its unlimited scaling. At the same time the architecture of middleware provides the maximum capacity and fault tolerance.

Using the new digital TelecomTV HDTV prefix, it is possible to provide services of interactive television and without deployment of the IPTV platform. Software of a prefix provides a new high-performance user interface for viewing TV channels and the program schedule. And the connectivity of USB drives (flash, hard drives) provides functionality as digital video-recorder for all TV channels, and the mediaplayer for viewing house content (movies, music, photos). Existence of support of network file system (NFS) will allow to browse content from file storages of the operator.

On February 1, 2012 BCC and NDS announce implementation of the concept of the interface of digital interactive television of NDS Snowflake in the solution TelecomTV.

On the basis of a koptseption of NDS Snowflake user interfaces for different types of subscriber devices can be created: set-top boxes, personal computers, smartphones, tablets. The NDS company has numerous international awards in the field of ergonomics and design for the Snowflake interface.

BCC and Verimatrix announced in January, 2012 completion of full-function integration of the latest system of protection of content of Verimatrix VCAS3 into the solution TelecomTV. Inclusion of VCAS3 in structure of the solution TelecomTV allows to execute projects for telecom operators and content providers based on any technologies of access networks and their combinations to use of a single system of the CAS/DRM.

Integration of TelecomTV and VCAS3 is performed via OMI interface that allows to manage the rights for different types of terminals: DVB, IPTV and OTT. At the expense of a broad spectrum of types of the subscriber devices supported by VCAS3, the solution TelecomTV provides provision of services on SmartTV TVs, set-top boxes, smartphones, tablets and personal computers.
