2024: mClouds Cloud Graphics Organization

Developer Zhelezno organized work with graphics in the mClouds cloud. mClouds announced this on April 8, 2025.

Zhelezno is a federal developer building residential complexes in five cities of Russia.

It was necessary to organize access to virtual desktops for work with CAD systems for the developer's design engineers without the need to purchase expensive workstations with video cards.

The solution should also provide flexibility in connecting new users, ensure secure connection through VPN and efficient allocation of resources.

Previously, the company used local workstations, which created difficulties:

  • High costs for purchasing and maintaining workplaces
  • No centralized access and data protection

This format of work slowed down processes and increased operational costs, which caused the search for an alternative solution.

In August 2024, mClouds engineers deployed virtual desktops on cloudy an infrastructure with hardware GPUs from. As Nvidia a configuration video cards NVIDIA Tesla , NVIDIA L4 series were also used processors , with an operating frequency above 3 Ghz - Xeon Intel Gold 6354. This choice provided high performance with - CAD programs and 3D graphics.

After testing, Zhelezno began using the mClouds cloud GPU infrastructure. In addition, mClouds engineers have added a VPN connection so that users connect to resources according to the split-tunnel concept - access to cloud resources is carried out only through VPN.

As a result, the developer Zhelezno moved the work of designers with graphics applications to the cloud, providing a stable and productive environment for working with CAD systems. This made it possible to avoid large one-time costs for the purchase of equipment and long terms for its commissioning. Instead, the company immediately began using a ready-made cloud infrastructure, scaling resources as needed. Now design engineers work with graphics in a secure environment, and the company gets the flexibility and resiliency of IT infrastructure.
