2025: Implementation of NGFW Ideco

The construction company SpetsSnabTrans has introduced solutions for protecting the perimeter, mail and workstations as part of a strategy to improve information security (IS). For this, firewalls (NGFW) from Ideco were deployed, as well as Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business and Kaspersky Security Mail Gateway from Kaspersky Lab, which provided the organization with a new level of corporate infrastructure protection. The project was implemented with the participation of the information security integrator iTPROTECT. At the start, iTPROTECT specialists conducted an express audit of the SpetsSnabTrans infrastructure, which made it possible to determine the optimal strategy for introducing information security products. The first step of the project was the deployment of Kaspersky Endpoint Security on workstations of more than 100 employees and Kaspersky Secure Mail Gateway in the company's email infrastructure. This made it possible to provide a basic level of protection of workplaces and corporate mail from various cyber threats, including phishing, spam and malware.

The second stage was the installation and configuration of a new generation firewall. Various options were considered, including cloud solutions, but the best choice for the company was on-premiere NGFW Ideco, which meets the security requirements of the organization.

The introduction of NGFW in SpetsSnabTrans ensured an increase in the level of protection of the network perimeter through detailed control of employee access to web resources and web applications with delineation of policies for various domain groups. The system made it possible to organize monitoring of employees' web activity with the formation of reports, as well as block access to unwanted resources based on the current blacklist of URL and external IP addresses.

The current NGFW solution has a margin of scalability, which guarantees sustainable work with the growth of the company's staff - at the time of implementation, the organization had over 500 employees. During testing, load tests were also carried out that confirmed the reliability of the system at high traffic volumes.
