2025: Launch of a plant in the Moscow region for the production of packaging for juices and milk for ₽1,3 billion

A new production complex of MoloPak for the production of cardboard packaging for liquid food products has been launched in the city of Chekhov, Moscow Region. This became known in early April 2025. The volume of investments in the project amounted to ₽1,3 billion, of which ₽600 million were directed to the purchase of equipment, and another ₽600 million - to the construction of the building.

The production capacity of the new enterprise will allow producing up to 1.2 billion cardboard packages per year. The launch of the complex was carried out in a mode video conferencings with the participation of the President. Russia Vladimir Putin The new enterprise has created 110 jobs.

The Governor of the Moscow Region Andrei Vorobyov, who took part in the launch ceremony, noted the significance of the project not only in terms of import substitution, but also to ensure the country's technological sovereignty. The head of the region stressed the importance of support from the Industrial Development Fund, which provided a preferential loan of ₽600 million at 1% per annum for the purchase of equipment.

Timur Gushchin, Managing Director of MoloPak, said that at the moment 90% of the raw materials used in production are of domestic origin. Previously, tetrapak components had to be purchased in the United States and Finland. Packaging paper is now supplied from the Leningrad Region and the Komi Republic, polymers from Kazan, and foil from Siberia.

Russian President Vladimir Putin in his speech at the videoconference noted that only Russian technologies and equipment were used in the implementation of this project. The head of state promised that domestic producers will be assisted in building logistics flows and entering new sales markets.[1]
