Main article: MES systems - functions and advantages

Mountain MES is a fully import-independent platform solution suitable for critical information infrastructure facilities. The product complies with the ISA-95 standard for production systems and is easily integrated with mining and geological software, ERP, APCS, systems for monitoring and diagnostics of mining equipment, IoT devices and other typical solutions in the mining industry.

2025: Presentation of the Mining MES Solution

Zyfra Group of Companies has developed Mining MES, a production process control system for mining and processing complexes. It is based on the ZIIoT platform, "Zyfra. Constructor MES "(formerly ZIAK) and" Zyfra. Quarry "and can become a single center of production management in mining. The purpose of the solution is to synchronize the operation of all GOK redistributions to increase productivity, increase the efficiency of using mining equipment, equipment and improve the quality of the raw materials produced. The company announced this on April 23, 2025.

In fact, Mining MES is a set of functional production process management modules built on the ZIIoT digital platform, taking into account industry specifics at all stages - mining, transportation and enrichment. They can be combined with each other depending on the needs and implemented in stages, while receiving economic effects at each stage on the covered alterations.

In Mining MES, we combined the expertise of the Continuous Production Division in the field of optimization of enrichment processes and the Mining Industry Division in dispatching the mining transport complex at quarries and underground mines. Due to the fact that the management of production alterations, transportation and enrichment will be carried out in a single system, it will be possible to obtain a much greater effect than with the traditional approach, when a separate solution is used for each process. The enterprise will have a single object model, unified regulatory reference information, a single set of reliable data on the state of production and the ability to effectively build end-to-end processes, for example, in the field of quality and energy efficiency management, - explained Mikhail Aronson, General Director of Zyfra Group of Companies.

Enterprises can begin implementing a comprehensive MES system with basic modules that do not require significant process changes. These include:

  • Production accounting, monitoring of the quality of raw materials and materials;
  • Dispatch control;
  • Monitoring of equipment efficiency;
  • Operational reporting.

Further, to realize the full potential of the system, it will be possible to add expanded functionality for end-to-end ore flow management (volume and quality parameters), energy efficiency control, volume and calendar planning, as well as end-to-end real-time operational planning and management of the quarry and factory.

Already due to the partial implementation of the MES functionality in combination with the previously implemented dispatching system for open and underground mining, it is possible to increase the GOK productivity by 4% and the utilization rate of the main equipment by 6%, as well as to increase the recovery of the useful component to 0.2%. This is confirmed by the digitalization projects, within the framework of which we carried out the introduction of separate MES-modules and the management system of the mining transport complex "Zyfra. Quarry. " The full implementation of the Mining MES concept can give a multiple increase in these effects, "commented Nikolai Godunov, head of the Mining Industry division of the Zyfra Group.
