The head of BMW did not go into the details of the cooperation. Earlier it was reported that AI in new BMW cars can serve as a companion, generating various recommendations and planning a route in real time. In addition, AI algorithms can be used to analyze the technical condition of the vehicle. Overall, BMW is actively introducing smart technology into its vehicles, including voice control and personalized digital services.

BMW also announced plans to deepen cooperation with the Chinese technology corporation ByteDance, owner of TikTok, to develop an innovative AI-based application in automotive marketing. The main goal of the partnership is to improve the process of buying cars and improve the efficiency of customer service.

As the Investing resource notes, China has strict rules regarding AI and data security. In particular, to comply with local laws, foreign companies are obliged to cooperate with local enterprises in the field of cybersecurity. BMW operates research centers in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenyang and Nanjing, which together form the company's largest scientific network outside Germany.[1]
