Rusnano began to use blockchain to protect the rights to its developments

The Rusnano Group has joined the blockchain system to take into account and protect the turnover of intellectual rights to its developments. The company entered into a corresponding agreement on the introduction of the blockchain node with the Russian Center for the Circulation of Rights to Creative Results (RCIS) in April 2025.

According to Rossiyskaya Gazeta, the new system will ensure the aggregation of the results of intellectual activity created by the companies of the Rusnano group, and guarantees their legal protection for subsequent economic turnover and commercialization.

Irina Yakovleva, Deputy Chairman of the RCIS, emphasized the importance of this project, noting that the Rusnano group has a significant amount of rights to unique technological solutions that can bring Russia to the leaders of the innovation market. According to her, the introduction of the blockchain infrastructure of РЦИС.РФ rights management will allow Rusnano to ensure a reliable level of intellectual property protection and effectively commercialize its developments.

Alexey Tikhonov, General Director of the Infrastructure and Educational Programs Fund (FIOP) of the Rusnano Group, noted that high-tech business has long needed a simple and effective intellectual rights management tool, including when working with external partners. He stressed that intellectual activity is a key asset of the Rusnano group and represents a huge amount of data created daily by management teams, partners, engineers and teams of scientists involved in the company's projects.

Rusnano has already introduced a system for end-to-end accounting of the results of intellectual activity - from an idea to an engineering solution and a finished product. Partnership with the RCIS will ensure their legal protection in the subsequent execution of transactions.^[1]
