The software operates on the basis of current IT developments and has become an important tool in automating a complex and multi-stage process, which was previously carried out manually. The solution allows you to find alternative internal reserves so as not to increase the sales allowance for the Group's enterprises. Thanks to this, it was possible to optimize costs and reduce the cost of finished products. Severstal announced this on April 29, 2025.

This RPA completely excluded manual labor when reconciling data on electricity accounting, agreeing on procurement volumes, signing the final accounting values ​ ​ with an electronic digital signature, as well as on the formation of reports on power transmission contracts and their direction to counterparties. The use of the "Robot" can be either scaled up in accordance with the subsequent increase in production capacity, or customized to meet the similar needs of third-party organizations engaged in the wholesale purchase of energy resources.

"Robot" was created in the perimeter of Severstal. Optimization and automation experts business processes from "" Severstal - Unified Service Center together with the customer's design team conducted a comprehensive survey and analysis of all processes accompanying the wholesale purchase of electricity and developed a methodology for replacing high-risk and labor-intensive due to the possible influence of the human factor of manual labor. software Direct implementation of the solution and its commissioning were carried out by specialists from the IT company Severstal-Infocom. Development is performed on the platform Sherpa RPA using the Unattended license, which allows RPA to operate in fully offline mode. To perform Robot tasks integrated with other corporate systems, including the Energosphere 8.0 software package. All its actions are recorded in logs, which provides a high level of control and the ability to promptly respond to possible failures. As a result of the commissioning of the RPA-solution "Robot" became available in the product line "Severstal - Center of the Unified Service."
