2025: Developing a Video Analytics System for Scrap Quality Control
PMH-Infotech has developed a video analytics system for the quality control of scrap at the Promsort-Kaluga enterprise. It is adapted for unloading scrap from railway cars and vehicles, and is also integrated with the existing MES system of the plant. PMH-Infotech announced this on May 15, 2025.
The scrap metal quality control system based on artificial intelligence and machine vision makes it possible to determine with high accuracy the compliance of incoming raw materials with the specified requirements, identify car numbers and read registration state machine numbers, quickly synchronize data with the MES system and create a report on unloading. This allows you to save time on incoming control and improve the quality of acceptance of raw materials.
The development of a digital service and phased integration of intelligent modules at the enterprise has been underway since the beginning of 2024. As of May 2025, plant employees track operations in real time, have the opportunity to view a detailed history for each car or dump truck, as well as carry out layer-by-layer unloading certification.
