2025: Ex-head of Russian division of consultancy Oliver Wyman becomes co-owner of Kolobox

In early May 2025, the former head of the Russian division of the consulting company Oliver Wyman, Sorin Talamba, acquired a 10% stake in the food tech startup Kolobox, which works at the junction of the product search aggregator and ESG.

According to the Business News Agency, as a result of the transaction, one of the co-founders of the startup, Yevgeny Voronov, reduced his share to 60%. Information on the change of ownership structure is reflected in the data of the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (USRUL).

Former head of the Russian office of Oliver Wyman was among the owners of the food tech startup Kolobox

The legal entity Kolobox (LLC "Green Walkers") was registered in 2024. According to the results of the first year of operation, the company reported a loss of ₽6,3 million.

Sorin Talamba began his career in the New York office of Oliver Wyman. In 2010, he took part in the launch of the Russian office of this consulting company, and in 2020 he headed its Russian division.

The majority owner of Kolobox, Yevgeny Voronov, also owns Altayagrosoyuz, which specializes in wholesale cereals. The revenue of this company in 2024 amounted to ₽539,3 billion.

Kolobox bills itself as an app to connect food sellers and consumers. The main idea of ​ ​ the project is to implement surplus quality food, which will otherwise be disposed of, which is consistent with the principles of ESG (environmental, social and corporate governance).

Sorin Talamba's investment in Kolobox shows the growing interest of the business community in food tech projects with an environmental component aimed at reducing food waste and optimizing food supply chains.[1]
