Career

2014-2019

Melkhov in 2014-2016 worked at Siberia Airlines JSC as a senior pilot-instructor of the flight group. Since October 2019, he served as Deputy Flight Director of S7 Airlines.

2025: Appointment as CEO of S7

On May 19, 2025, Igor Melkhov was appointed to the post of General Director of Siberia Airlines JSC (legal entity of S7 Airlines). In this post, he replaced Vadim Klebanov, who headed the company since September 2019.

S7 Airlines, as stated on the website of the carrier itself, is the largest private airline in Russia. It has a wide network of internal routes built on the basis of air transport hubs in Moscow (Domodedovo), Novosibirsk (Tolmachevo) and Irkutsk. In 2007, the airline received an official notification from IATA about the inclusion of IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit) in the operator register and became the second air carrier in Russia to successfully pass the full international audit procedure for compliance with operational safety standards.

In 2024, S7 Airlines transported 12.9 million passengers, carrying out almost 100 thousand flights. For comparison, a year earlier, the company's passenger traffic was 15.9 million people.[1]
