The Galaktika company completed the project of creation of a failsafe system in Transneftstroy LLC.

Project solution

Creation of the failsafe database management system in Transneftstroy LLC is completed by Galaktika company.

The main objective of the project – to ensure safety of the database, a key component of the automation system of the enterprise, from program or machine failures, to adjust its working capacity at any damages of a system, errors and natural disasters. In a project work the Oracle services focused on solving of tasks of the class Standby were applied.

Result

For ensuring fault tolerance and operational recovery of the database installation and the Oracle Data Guard setup therefore the backup copy of the database is duplicated was performed and is constantly updated in additional disk storage. It will allow in case of failure on the main platform or in the absence of an opportunity to execute operational recovery - to activate the reserve database therefore services will continue to work already at the new platform.

Distinctive feature of the solution is an opportunity to quickly reconnect servers that allows to provide fault tolerance of a system, to minimize the probability of data loss, so to save business continuity, effectively redistributing resources.
