RNT begins promotion of the Avtotreker system in Syria

The Russian Navigation Technologies (RNT) company announced the beginning of work in the Syrian Arab Republic.

As the first public step of RNT suggested the Syrian side to create the uniform national dispatching center of monitoring of transport. The project was submitted at the special cross-industry meeting devoted to GLONASS monitoring system implementation on different types of transport. The Deputy Minister of Transport, the head of city transport, the authorized staff of the Ministries of Defence, communications and technologies, internal affairs, fuel and mineral resources – only more than forty senior representatives of the state departments and also the largest transport and oil companies of the country took part in work of the meeting organized by the Ministry of Transport of Syria.

As note in RNT, so representative list of participants is connected with wide perspectives of application of the systems of satellite navigation in key civil industries of economy of Syria: oil and gas sector, tourism, construction of roads, management of cargo transportation, etc. At the same time monitoring of transport initially is considered as the complete backbone solution allowing to provide control of use of transport infrastructure and also to increase security and efficiency of use of transport at the enterprise level, the industry, the cities, the countries in general.

At a meeting the main systems capabilities Avtotreker and the industry solutions created on its basis for the oil companies, passenger transport and road construction were in detail considered. Also the solution "Safe Driving" and other developments of RNT for safety of transport were presented. Besides, work of the dispatching center, largest in Russia, controlling more than 8.5 thousand units of transport in Tatneft company was in real time shown.

Based on a meeting agreements on creation of a pilot zone on one of city routes of Damascus were reached. Within the project the dispatching center will be unrolled and practical experience of use of Avtotreker technologies for optimal planning of the schedule, automatic control of deviations from the schedule, identification of violations of the high-speed mode, control of fuel consumption and also increased security is accumulated.

In further RNT she intends to open representation in the Syrian Arab Republic. At the same time the company expects to occupy an essential share of local market of monitoring of transport and to create infrastructure at project implementation in other countries of the region. Within this project the partner network promoting solutions RNT, distribution and installation of equipment Avtotreker will be created. Further, the partners who saved up sufficient qualification and underwent the corresponding certification will be able independently and in cooperation with RNT to keep complex projects on creation and maintenance of monitoring systems and the dispatching centers. In turn, the Russian Navigation Technologies company will concentrate efforts to adaptations of a product line Avtotreker for local market, development of effective affiliate programs and creation of the system of partner interaction guaranteeing respect for the high quality standards.

As reported, now there were extremely favorable conditions for entry into the Syrian market of monitoring of transport. So, the government of the country permitted to use the global satellite systems for determination of coordinates only about a year ago. During this time the state departments and the largest business companies could estimate perspectives of application of such systems in business and a state administration, came to understanding of importance of formation of the corresponding infrastructure of national scale. At the same time, despite the scale of tasks and aspiration to implement the most modern and perspective high-tech solutions, local market of fleet management only begins to form. Here yet there is no competition, and traditional friendship of Syria and Russia creates climate of mutual trust. In addition, use of GLONASS and the combined GLONASS/GPS of solutions is equitable to the strategic interests of national security of the Syrian Arab Republic.
