The solution Any Connection is intended for broadband transport networks of mobile communication (MBB - Mobile Broadband Backhaul). The solution supports smooth upgrade of networks from UMTS and HSPA to LTE.

Upgrade of mobile networks from UMTS and HSPA to LTE leads to more effective use of a frequency range and, eventually, allows to increase bandwidth and to provide considerable decrease in the total ownership cost (TCO) in broadband wireless networks of access in the medium and long term. The solution of Huawei for transport networks of MBB is constructed based on All-IP technology. It supports any types of traffic (a solution name from here - Any Connection) and considerably reduces costs on transfer of bit of information at implementation of broadband technology of wireless access of LTE.

Any Connection provides the complete solution for creation of a single transport network with the possibility of flexible routing of diverse traffic and switching of services rebuilt by bandwidth for support of the different modes of modulation of frequencies in LTE technology.

The solution also has the following advantages:

  • Support of the dynamic and static modes of routing on all elements of a transport network. Existence of the compact boundary routers of 300 mm in depth installed in street racks, for the organization of IP connections between the Node B and RNC stations or between eNode B and aGW and supporting transfer of diverse traffic that allows to perform flexible upgrade of mobile networks.
  • The radio relay equipment supports three operation modes – TDM, hybrid and package with a possibility of transition from one to another only due to software updating. It provides protection of investments into transport networks at implementation of LTE networks in parallel with the existing UMTS and HSPA networks.
  • The radio relay equipment of level of aggregation with simultaneous connection to 14/28 sets ODU&антенна on a node, provides more rational space usage and economy on the rent at implementation of LTE technology.
  • The radio relay equipment supports the different modes of modulation (QPSK, QAM, etc.) functionality of XPIC – use of two waves with orthogonal polyarization for increase in bandwidth in a radio channel to gigabit speeds and also compression of the headings Ethernet and IP for more effective use of a frequency range.
