We have now brought the design of an IT technopark to the competition, we expect to finish it by December [2025] and immediately announce a tender for construction. We pledge up to 1 billion rubles for construction in budget expenditures. And now we are already negotiating with the management company, which may also participate in this project, - notes Shumkov.

It is expected that the IT technopark will include three buildings with different purposes - from e-sports to production. It is planned to train specialists at the site, implement developments in robotics and other areas. In the future, a data center is planned to be built next to the facility.

In our understanding, the IT technology park has a significant, radical difference from just a business incubator. Cheap offices for IT companies are one element, but they are not the most important. Still, we believe that serious research work should be carried out on the territory of the IT technopark, "Shumkov said.

According to him, in addition to the IT technopark, an IT center for 250 jobs with investments in the amount of more than 2 billion rubles is also being built in Kurgan. It is expected that these projects, taking into account the previously launched IT College and IT Institute (on the basis of Kurgan State University), will give a new impetus to the development of the relevant sphere.[1]
