2025: Anton Kuryavy bought "Russian Salmon"
The main owner of the Russian Salmon company was Anton Kuryavy, who in June 2025 transferred 51% to Bioresurs LLC, which controls the aquaculture salmon producer.
According to Kommersant, Alexey Kazmin took over as CEO of the company. Kuryavy and Kazmin previously led the structures of the fisherman Gleb Frank and remain his confidants. Russian Salmon reported that the deal has not yet been closed.
TheIvan Peshkov, head of the M&A department at BGP Capital, estimates the value of Russian Salmon at ₽10 - 12 billion, taking into account the debt. The expert does not exclude that the asset was sold at a discount. Investment banker Ilya Shumov also estimates the company's business at ₽12 billion.
Until mid-June 2025, the main owner of Russian Salmon was the co-owner of the Baltic Coast (food) TD Mikhail Bobrov. It was his share that passed to the representatives of Gleb Frank. The share of 45% in Bioresurs LLC through Yusar Techno LLC is controlled by a group of investors, another 4% was retained by Ilya Gorbatsky.
Russian Salmon has existed since 2005 and is one of the largest Russian companies specializing in the cultivation of aquaculture salmon. The company suffered from salmon lice, which led to a significant decrease in livestock and revenue.
According to Ilya Shumov's calculations, the margin of the business in [[EBITDA] can reach 40%. This makes the company attractive to investors despite temporary difficulties with biological assets.
A source in the fishing market explains that Gleb Frank considered the possibility of investing in aquaculture from 2020. The conclusion of the transaction could be facilitated by the profitable price of the asset after problems with the livestock.[1]
