2025: Transition to Astra Linux Embedded

Astra Group and Agat - Russian Technologies have transferred key Agat-RT products to the embedded operating system Astra Linux Embedded. Astra announced this on July 3, 2025. This strategic solution will allow Russian industry customers to obtain solutions that meet the highest information security requirements .

Astra Linux Embedded is an embedded version of the Astra Linux Special Edition operating system designed for specialized devices. The version licensing model was developed by Astra Group together with the official distributor of Kvarta Technologiya. Manufacturers of devices based on Astra Linux Embedded have the opportunity to receive technical support from Astra Group in the early stages of product development. The OS license is inextricably linked to the manufacturer's device, while the end user of the device receives the rights to the entire product, which allows you to widely replicate the solution.

The transition to Astra Linux Embedded for Agat-RT was due to the need to create a domestic platform for the operation of built-in systems of telecommunications equipment of Russian production. The choice in favor of this solution was made due to the compliance of the operating system with the requirements of regulatory documents in the field of information security.

Within the framework of the project, the following Agat-RT products were transferred to Astra Linux Embedded:

• Agat CU is a professional telecommunications platform for the modernization and development of business communications.
• SPRUT SR-4000 is a stand-alone call recording server for critical facilities.
• APC SPRUT-Inform CU - a device for notification over telephone lines, GSM channels and speakerphone.
• SBC Agate CU is an edge session controller for the protection and sustainability of SIP networks.
