2025: Experience in Introducing the Vitro-CAD Shared Data Environment into GIAP

Introduction of Vitro-CAD

GIAP is a multidisciplinary project organization, the structure of which includes a variety of production and functional departments.

Implementation objectives

The main goal of the implementation Vitro-CAD was to build a highly efficient exchange infrastructure data between all project participants, as well as to create a common information space for centralized accumulation and streamlining of technical and administrative and organizational documents of the project.

Implementation process

Creation of the Legally Significant Archive (SSA):

  1. The data storage structure has been developed and configured, which allows you to correctly organize the entire array of information.
  2. User access rights are defined to ensure the protection of confidential data and the safety of information.
  3. Implemented multi-step procedures for document approval and document archiving, which significantly increased the reliability and transparency of the workflow.
  4. You have set up document and remark lifecycles to track the processing steps and store the change history.

Additional important steps have been completed:

  1. The function of exporting comments to PDF format is implemented, which facilitates further work with comments and recommendations.
  2. Added the ability to attach external files to various elements of the system, which increased the convenience and functionality of the tool.

Implementation results

  1. Implementation of the system allowed to automate the documentation approval procedures by means of EDS.
  2. The status of each documentation unit is now monitored at all stages of the lifecycle, from creation to archiving.
  3. The system made it much easier to work with information, providing ample opportunities for searching for data, creating convenient tabular views on selected parameters and uploading information to a local computer.
  4. Effective interaction within the team has been established.
