2025: Modernization of the laboratory using microcontrollers of the Amur MIK32
With the support of Micron, work was completed on the modernization of the laboratory of microprocessor technology of the Department of Industrial Electronics, NRU MPEI. Training stands were updated at the department, as well as debugging boards based on the microcontroller Micron MIK32 Cupid were added, which Micron transferred to MPEI for use in the educational process. Micron announced this on July 21, 2025.
Students of 4-5 courses in the field of "Electronics and Nanoelectronics" are trained in the laboratory. In the classroom, they learn how to program microcontrollers, learn in practice the interaction of microcontrollers and various peripheral devices. Students digitize voltage measurements from power supplies, program buttons for various events, exchange messages through the computer console with microprocessors, and much more.
| The appearance of debug boards based on the Amur MIK32 allows you to teach students how to work with microcontrollers of domestic production. Leaving the walls of MPEI, the specialist will have practical experience in working on several types of microcontrollers at once, which is especially important in the era of rapidly developing IT infrastructure, "said Nikolai Rogalev, rector of MPEI National Research University. |
| Micron transferred debugging boards based on the Micron microcontroller MIK32 Amur to the updated laboratory of the National Research University "MPEI" for use in the educational process and the organization of training sessions - said Evgeny Kuzmin, Deputy General Director for Commercial Activities of Micron JSC. |
The modernization of the laboratory under the guidance of Ivan Zhuravlev, senior lecturer at the Department of Industrial Electronics at MPEI, took place within the framework of a long-term agreement between Micron and MPEI on the joint training of highly qualified specialists for microelectronics.
