Biography

2025: Charge of embezzlement of 130 million rubles

On July 21, 2025, it became known that charges of abuse of power were brought against the former head of the Russian cancer drug manufacturer Naukoprofi Svetlana Kopachevskaya. The damage from her actions is estimated at almost 130 million rubles.

According to the case file, Kopachevskaya in 2011 was appointed director of the research and production branch of the State Center for Oncology named after Blokhin. In 2015, this branch was transformed into the pharmaceutical company Naukoprofi, which is part of the center's structure. The investigation believes that since 2017, Kopachevskaya has illegally issued several orders to establish its own provisions on remuneration for its employees in the company: employees of Naukoprofi have received so-called incentive payments and bonuses for three years.

During the investigation, it was established that Kopachevskaya signed orders for encouragement, and also instructed the chief accountant to create registers for crediting money to bank cards and make payment orders for transferring funds. The volume of such payments in 2017 amounted to about 37.4 million rubles, in 2018 - 44.8 million rubles, in 2019 - 47.2 million rubles. Thus, the total amount of funds transferred for three years reached 129.6 million rubles. The money was received, among other things, by Kopachevskaya herself. According to law enforcement agencies, the defendant by her actions violated the rights and legitimate interests of the Center for Oncology named after Blokhin.

The criminal case was initiated by the Investigative Department of the Internal Affairs Directorate for the Southern District in June 2023. Initially, the investigation was conducted on the fact of embezzlement of funds (Article 160 of the Criminal Code), but then the charge was reclassified to abuse of authority (part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code). Kopachevskaya faces up to 10 years in prison. The ex-head of Naukoprofi herself does not admit guilt.^[1]
