2025: Removal of the ERP platform of the American Epicor and the transition to the 1C system

The Russian division of Olympus completed the abandonment of the American ERP platform Epicor and switched to the domestic 1C: Payroll and HR Management system with the introduction of personnel electronic document management. The replacement of foreign software took two months and allowed the company to save over ₽4 million per year, as well as accelerate HR processes by more than ten times. The information was published on July 24, 2025.

According to RBC, the project to replace American software was implemented by 1C-WiseAdvice, which also took over the full outsourcing of payroll. Specialists deployed an isolated 1C circuit and postponed the twelve-year data history without delays in paying employees.

Before abandoning the Epicor platform, all internal communication in the company was built by e-mail. It took days to approve one order, and the HR department processed hundreds of letters every day. The personnel audit revealed a twenty-five-year chronicle of inconsistencies with the Labor Code, an external company made mistakes in calculating salaries.

Work on the replacement of American software was carried out in four consecutive stages. First, the specialists deployed an isolated 1C loop and developed tools for importing data. December payroll was carried out in parallel in the Epicor system and the new Russian platform to exclude discrepancies.

The second stage included the launch of an employee's personal account to replace the functions of the American ERP system. By the end of the third week, all applications for vacations, certificates and changes in personal data went online, and the statuses were automatically returned from the 1C system. The third step was the full launch of personnel electronic document management.

Each employee was issued a qualified electronic signature, updated local regulations and translated orders, applications and employment contracts into digital format. In the final step, the team implemented custom modules, including the Vacation Schedule tool, which shows the rest of the days in real time.[1]
