In the Voronezh region the single system of management of passenger traffic based on GLONASS earned

M2M Telematics group together with the regional partner "M2M telematics Black Earth" implemented a single regional end-to-end automated system of supervisory control by passenger traffic based on GLONASS technologies in the Voronezh region.

In November, 2010. The department of the industry, transport, communication and innovations of the Voronezh region held a competition on equipment of passenger vehicles GLONASS equipment which winner was M2M Telematics Group.

In the project progress exchange GLX M2M-Cyber telematic service stations equip 250 vehicles of intraregional value and also the uniform dispatching service exercising control of public passenger transport is created.

For the purpose of increase in safety of passengers the navigation and coherent equipment installed on vehicles is complemented with "the disturbing button" and a set of a voice communication thanks to which the driver, at emergence of any emergency situation, can contact the manager in real time. Also by some buses in the pilot mode sensors of calculation of the entering/leaving passengers, video cameras and intra saloon boards intended for informing passengers on a route and the next stops are installed.

At the bus stop near bus station the information display with the complex route pointer of the movement of the vehicles (KMU) equipped with GLONASS equipment is set. The information display transfers information on the actual schedule of the movement and arrival time of passenger transport to a stop and also about emergencies. KMU uses the data provided by a monitoring system of city transport based on GLONASS and is capable to predict to within one minute arrival time of transport on a stop taking into account the motion speed of passenger transport, stops on traffic lights, "traffic jams", etc.

According to the commercial director of M2M Telematics Group Andrey Platonov, the main objective of implementation of management systems for passenger traffic based on GLONASS is increase in safety of passenger traffic and improvement of quality of the provided transport services. "Monitoring systems and controls of transport represent the effective management tool the park of vehicles, including full control of consumption of fuel and lubricants, use of transport on purpose, observance of diagrams and routes of the movement, increase in labor discipline and many other things" - Platonov noted.

For the Voronezh region creation of a single regional end-to-end automated system of supervisory control by passenger traffic will allow to obtain the complete information about the schedule of transport and a passenger traffic on intraregional routes. Information analysis will help to redistribute rationally vehicles and to create optimal diagrams and routes of the movement, i.e. to manage more effectively transport infrastructure of area.
