Moscow State University of means of communication implements the project of high-performance computing

Moscow State University of means of communication (MIIT) together with AMT Group company completed the project of the equipment of intercathedral educational and scientific laboratory of high-performance parallel computings.

About the Solution

The equipment of laboratory includes graphic and workstations, a congress system and the system of a video conferencing integrated with it and also the videowall allowing to display the created models in sufficient detail. The laboratory is connected to the computing cluster of the MIIT T-4700 university having performance according to the Tflops Linpack 3.89 test.

Objectives

Within laboratory it is going to solve perspective knowledge-intensive problems for the benefit of the transport industry, such as calculation of dynamic cross-industry balance of main types of transport, creation optimal (by the set criterion) plans of formation of trains, the analysis of emergence of chaotic fluctuations in big power networks, calculation of electromagnetic fields in nanostructures, etc.
