2025: SkyNet bought "Fartel"
Petersburg-based Skynet LLC (SkyNet) has acquired the competing Internet provider Fartel, which provides an Internet connection in the south of the Leningrad region. This was announced in August 2025 by the co-owner of SkyNet Andrei Shpeder. According to him, the company has absorbed the regional provider as part of its own investment program in the region, the financing of which is several billion rubles. The parties did not disclose the value of the transaction. The head of the Rustelecom agency, Yuri Bryukvin, estimated the purchase at ₽100 million.[1]
