Alteon VA (Virtual Appliance) is the software solution developed by Radware for control of accomplishment of applications (ADC). In fact, it is the virtual ADC working at a virtual server framework of VMware and providing the same functionality of ADC as physical Radware Alteon devices: balancing of loading of servers on a local and global network, services of Layer 7 and acceleration of traffic of applications.
Radware Alteon VA is developed for suppliers of "cloud" services and a hosting, virtual DPCs of large enterprises and for the small companies using virtual servers. Alteon VA is delivered with a different capacity which can be changed on a license basis according to OnDemand approach admitted to Radware. Approach allows to avoid excessive expenses and to pay performance improvement only for requirement, including the periods of testing and start, emphasized in Radware.
