2025: Flexible licensing of the industrial platform "Cascade"

SibCom Tsigna uses the Guardant software and hardware keys from the Aktiv Company to manage the licensing of its flagship product, the CASCADE universal digital platform. This transition made it possible to create a flexible, scalable and secure software protection system that meets the current requirements of industrial enterprises. This was announced by "Asset" on August 28, 2025.

During the project, a comprehensive solution was implemented consisting of the following components: Guardant Station - licensing management systems, Guardant DL - software keys, Guardant DL Trial - temporary licenses, Guardant Sign - hardware USB keys. The use of different key models, the ability to modular licensing of components, simple scaling from individual workplaces to distributed systems give end users and the developer excellent opportunities to select and use optimal solutions. For example, it became possible to conduct training courses at a minimum cost for training licenses using temporary DL Trial licenses.

For the developer of the CASCADE platform, the most important results of the implementation were to reduce operational costs, simplify distribution processes, the ability to quickly update licenses, and improve protection against unauthorized use. For users, this licensing system has brought flexible licensing schemes, ease of access rights management, and the ability to urgently restore the license.

The convenience of license management has been significantly improved by automating the sale and distribution of licenses with the Guardant Station account. As of August 2025, it is possible to perform a simple transfer of licenses between various devices, as well as activate an offline license on a computer that is not connected to the Internet, if corporate security rules require a closed perimeter.

The deep integration of licensing using the Guardant Licensing API and the implementation of license redundancy, coupled with integration with the modular platform architecture, not only allows you to develop your own solutions more efficiently, but also allows you to integrate third-party modules into the licensing system of the CASCADE platform or create OEM solutions based on the platform with the same efficient and simple licensing mechanism.

The CASCADE development team continues to improve the licensing system, making it more flexible, fault-tolerant and user-friendly. Through the use of the Guardant API, it was possible to deeply integrate security and licensing tasks into the company's processes, as well as implement redundancy to improve system reliability.
