The technology Cisco TelePresence group together with the company Ink implemented the project on equipping by the systems of a video conferencing of the Dneproenergo enterprise. The built network covering the central office and three thermal power stations of the energy-generating company allows her specialists to participate in video conference sessions, irrespective of location of division.

Need for use of video conference arose in view of geographical distribution of the Dneproenergo enterprise: the central office and three thermal power stations – Zaporizhia, Kryvyi Rih and Dnieper – are located, respectively, in the territory of two large industrial areas of Ukraine – Zaporizhia and Dnipropetrovsk. Thanks to video conference implementation process of holding the frequent operational meetings both in divisions of the company, and with the DTEK management company considerably became simpler.

"Implementation of technology of a video conferencing – not just a craze, and economically reasonable step as it will allow our company to cut down significantly expenses on telephone communication and business trips. Besides, it considerably will reduce costs of working time of the employees involved in process of the remote solution of production tasks, will increase efficiency of acceptance of management decisions and finishing them on places", – Vinogradov Oleg, the head of the department of information technologies of JSC Dneproenergo notes.

For implementation of the tasks the systems of a video conferencing of Cisco TelePresence Set-Top 770 MXP (Tandberg 770 MXP) were selected. The server of a multipoint video conferencing of Cisco TelePresence MCU 4203 (Tandberg Codian MCU 4203) which allows to perform connection on IP-and ISDN networks with a speed up to 768 kbps and to 128 kbps respectively also is a part of the solution. Besides, specialists of the company Ink seamlessly integrated video network into the existing IP telephony system of Dneproenergo and, thus, implemented an opportunity to connect to sessions of VKS of users of IP phones in video mode in the presence in a workplace of the webcam and an installed software of Cisco Unified Video Advantage. All works, including successful start of network in trial operation, were executed within December, 2010 – January, 2011.
