PepsiCo in Russia will count personnel in SAP

The Russian division of PepsiCo company completed the second stage of the project on system implementation of personnel management of SAP ERP of HCM at three enterprises: at the moment a system earned from two of them with the total number of staff more than 6 thousand human.

The Russian division of PepsiCo company completed the second stage of the project on system implementation of personnel management of SAP ERP of HCM at three enterprises: at the moment a system earned from two of them with the total number of staff more than 6 thousand human.

The PepsiCo company implemented HCM SAP ERP on the second of the three plants in Russia -JSC Lebedyansky. MOLGA Consulting acted as integrator of the project, having integrated both enterprises (the second - Frito Lay) in a uniform corporate HR system.

Lebedyansky is large East European industrial complex on production of natural juice and enters ten the largest producers of juice in the world.

The personnel management system created by MOLGA Consulting based on the SAP solution ERP HCM (Human Capital Management is Human capital management) services more than 4.5 thousand employees of the company. Over 1.6 thousand are employed at Frito Lay (production of salty snack) human. In total in a system account of 6.1 thousand employees is kept.

A full-function HRM system provides all key personnel management processes at Lebedyansky plant: payroll, management of organizational creation, personnel records, a time recording, calculation of the price-work salary, management of a compensation packet and costs planning on personnel.

Possibilities of a HRM system were significantly expanded due to functions on costs planning on personnel and managements of privileges which allow to support effectively planning processes and modeling of costs for employees both on operational, and on strategic levels.

Also within the project specialists of MOLGA Consulting made updating of a corporate system of personnel management by means of a packet of SAP EHP settings 4 and the solution org.manager – the certified SAP tool for data view about personnel in the large companies in the form of organigrams is implemented.

According to the project manager from PepsiCo Leonid Skvortsov, works were conducted within six months, and their termination - a strategic step for the company. The project budget of the party is not opened.

Yury Korol, the Senior partner of MOLGA Consulting comments: "During the project we not only created an information system, but also carried out important work on adaptation of the corporate management model operating in Frito Lay by personnel taking into account specifics of business challenges of Lebedyansky plant. It is important to note that possibilities of a HRM system were significantly expanded due to functions on costs planning on personnel and managements of privileges which allow to support effectively planning processes and modeling of costs for employees both on operational, and on strategic levels. Thereby, PepsiCo performs very serious investments into efficiency of HR and, in general, in controllability of the business".


Further integration into a personnel management system based on SAP ERP of HCM of HR processes of the third business of PepsiCo in Russia – Pepsico Beverages Russia is planned. By the way, in December of last year Pepsico announced conclusion of an agreement about purchase of the largest Russian producer of dairy products and drinks of JSC Wimm-Bill-Dann Foods (VBD) for $5.8 billion. So if this transaction will be closed, then in the long term the project can be started also at the new enterprise.
