Implementation of the server hardware of Dell in Mosfilm concern

At the end of December, 2010 the Server Unit company completed successful implementation based on the server hardware of Dell in Mosfilm concern.

The last nine years Mosfilm actively is engaged in upgrade of the technological base. Enormous work on reconstruction of pavilions and studios, equipment as their latest equipment and film-making equipment meeting the highest requirements of today was carried out.

The Mosfilm concern constantly works with about ten different projects and a large number of customers. Through department of accounting of Mosfilm there passes the huge amount of papers and money that demands from accounting not only operational document handling, but also high-quality registration and storage of all information. With respect thereto the company management left the purpose to make replacement and optimization of the server hardware working in department of accounting. As the new server hardware the Customer selected servers of DELL PowerEdge R610 and storage system of MD3000I. For implementation of this purpose the following tasks were defined:

• automation of processing of the arriving requests;
• acceleration of the solution of operational tasks;
• maximum automation of process of work of department.

Using own implementation methodology, the staff of Server Unit company carried out all necessary technical works in time and also provided a specialized training for the staff of concern. Thus, replacement of the server hardware and the software improved not only the speed of a response and document creation, but also increased employees productivity, reduced duration of process of the statement and search of accounts.
