2025: Launch of Oil and Gas Equipment Testing Platform
The Digital Platform for Testing Equipment in the Oil and Gas Industry has been launched in Russia.
The Unified Test Operator (EOI) has launched a Digital Platform for organizing and conducting equipment tests. It unites equipment manufacturers, test customers and test infrastructure owners into a single system. The developer announced this on September 10, 2025.
For two years, the share of Russian analogues of equipment in the oil and gas industry has grown 1.5 times - from 38% in 2022 to 54% in 2024 (RBC ). At the same time, the share of companies that declared independence from imported equipment increased from 35% in 2022 to 57% in 2024 (RBC).
Against the background of the growth in the volume of testing of new equipment, the market faced system problems: disparate data on the test infrastructure, duplication of procedures and complex coordination of participants. This led to delays, additional costs and risks for companies.
These factors were the impetus for the creation of the Digital Platform of the EOI, which streamlined the process, proposed uniform approaches in the organization of tests and reduced the burden on participants. The platform consolidates information on test facilities, reduces the time for searching for test sites, ensures a unified order of interaction and transparency of procedures. Unified methods and test volumes are formed in the system, and their results are recognized by all participants. This reduces the burden on manufacturers and speeds up the launch of products on the market. For end customers, this means improving the safety, reliability of equipment and stability of supply.
More than 100 companies have already connected to the Platform. Test customers place requests for tests, and the Platform selects test sites according to the specified parameters. Owners of test equipment (test centers) register their test capacities in the system - more than 2000 units of test equipment are registered. The service automates the filing of applications, conclusion of contracts and status control. Requests for testing and manufacturing of prototypes are also published here.
For example, after the equipment broke down at one of the plants, it was necessary to urgently test a new part. The manufacturer did not have its own base. Through the platform, he chose the site, issued an application, sent the part for testing and received a test report. This made it possible to reduce downtime, ensure compliance with the requirements and return the equipment to work.
| Equipment testing is a risk and quality management tool. The platform creates a digital circuit where customers and infrastructure owners work according to the same rules. This accelerates the introduction of technologies to the market and makes processes transparent, said EOI CEO Sergey Gureev.
