2025: ant Yard Management System Testing
The logistics operator Grando Management Company completed the test period and put into commercial operation the cloud management system of the ant Yard Management System (ant YMS) warehouse from the ANT Technologies integrator at the transport and warehouse complex. The implementation of the system is aimed at optimizing the processes of planning and managing traffic on the territory of one of the warehouse complexes in Russia. Ant Technologies was informed about this on September 10, 2025.
The main objective of the project was to eliminate bottlenecks and increase the processing efficiency of up to 500 vehicles per day on the territory of the complex with a total area of 90,000 square meters. m The introduction of ant YMS with its built-in slot booking module made it possible to optimize traffic, automate work with customers and minimize downtime and manual labor.
Initially, there was a healthy skepticism associated with the novelty of the idea, but the first results are good. We already see that we can process machines practically without the participation of an operator, release resources and minimize the human factor. A fully automated process from booking to unloading is exactly the result we sought, - commented Yuri Nedosekin, stock manager of UK GRANDO LLC.
The successful launch of the project at GRANDO is a clear confirmation that our ant YMS platform is ready to solve the problems of the highest level of complexity and integrate into the infrastructure of logistics hubs, - said Alexander Usov, director of ANT Technologies. - We are not just providing a tool, we are introducing new operating efficiency standards. We are pleased that GRANDO has chosen ant Yard Management System and the first results of the test period demonstrate that centralized planning and transparency can reduce the costs associated with transport downtime and manual control.
The ant Yard Management System has been adapted to the high standards and complex logistics infrastructure of GRANDO. Key refinements and settings included:
- Individual processing standards for different controllers.
- Securing the gates to several of the company's customers.
- Personnel requirements planning based on employee specialization (controllers, loader drivers).
- Integration with the number recognition system at the checkpoint for automatic control of the entry of permitted vehicles.
- Integration with the warehouse WMS for automatic transfer data of visits and their changes.
- Implementation of electronic checklists to control the services provided.
Despite the fact that the process of adapting customers to the booking system takes time, GRANDO notes a positive trend. At the first stage, not all customers used the system, but the client department involves new counterparties.
We see the potential of the system not only in schedule management, but also in total control of the entire life cycle of the machine on the territory - from entry to docking and departure. This is critical for us to eliminate manual labor and manipulation of status. The next step is to use the system to intelligently manage parking spaces and further increase automation, a company spokesman added.
