In 2008 the management of holding made the decision on creation in a logoparka Northern Domodedovo of the uniform distribution center with a capacity of 35000 pallets in narrow-passage and shirokoprokhodny racks. The program of an inventory control of own development used at that time could not provide functioning of a hi-tech warehouse of class A.

As the contractor of the project of automation of a warehouse the Penta Group company, being the system developer of management of the warehouse Penta WMS was selected. The fact that this WMS system is implemented on the 1C:Enterprise 8 platform allowed to expect its operational implementation, adaptation according to features of work of the distribution center and trouble-free integration with other information systems. Besides, the enterprise already had a positive experience of use of standard solutions of the 1C: Enterprise system.

The management of Rosstayl Group defined the following additional requirements to functionality of a system:

  • work with sets of the fixed and variable structure;
  • different rules of pre-sale preparation and shipment of orders for different types of partners * (branches, networks, large and small wholesale clients);
  • conducting lot-based accounting on different properties of goods (expiration dates, color shades of wall-paper, tile calibers);
  • printing of primary finance documents, including for transit loads;
  • performance – not less than 100 thousand transactions per hour;
  • conducting separate accounting on the companies of holding.

Key features of the project were need of deep integration with a corporate information system and need of ensuring unceasing work of a warehouse. The efficiency and effectiveness of work of a project team were provided with use of STEP-BY-STEP technology. This methodical approach assumes iterative poprotsessny implementation when in each cycle all warehouse transactions are consistently started. Each subsequent iteration is executed with complication of technology. For example, transaction of a complete set of orders for shipment was executed in 3 options of issue of tasks: according to sheets of selection in general by request, according to sheets of selection on one pallet, using data collection terminals.

Questions of a regulation of business processes of holding, directly work-related a warehouse on a weekly basis were considered by a project team with participation of the management of Rosstayl Group. Solutions of a project team in a priority order were implemented within a WMS system and a corporate information system.

Upon completion of the project 100 jobs, including 66 data collection terminals of Motorola of MC-9090 are put into commercial operation. In a system all requirements of the guide to functionality and the mode of operation of WMS are implemented. During the project the system of regulation of work of a warehouse and the system of motivation of personnel on the actual development are implemented.

As a result it was succeeded to reduce the number of staff of a warehouse by 20%, at the same time the assembly time of the order is reduced by 3 times, and the quantity of errors at assembly is reduced by 5 times.
