2025: Launch of "Astra Linux Server 1C"

Astra Group and 1C on September 16, 2025 announced the start of sales of the specialized operating system Astra Linux Server 1C for 1C:Enterprise 8.

This is a server platform designed for companies that use both products together or are considering such an option. The joint solution is designed to be the optimal foundation for such a bundle and greatly simplify the implementation and configuration of systems by integrators or customer IT services.

The key advantages are built-in mechanisms for protecting funds virtualizations and, DBMS functionality for controlling removable media information and flexible access control systems: discretionary or role-based. The OS supports kiosk mode, and you can strictly limit the range of applications and settings available to users. As other strengths of the product, manufacturers highlight stability, high performance and wide possibilities for integration.

Two licensing options are available to customers: for physical servers (in this case, the total cost depends on the number of sockets) and for virtual environments. It is important to note that Astra Linux Server 1C can be purchased separately from 1C: Enterprise 8 licenses, but their presence is a prerequisite for legal use. Updates are provided every 12 months.
