The F&R solution being implemented covers all stages of commodity movement - from forecasting customer demand and providing stores with the necessary volumes of goods to planning orders to suppliers. Algorithmic machine learning analyzes large amounts of data: historical sales, current market trends, weather conditions, local events and behavioral patterns of customers in each specific store of the network. This allows you to accurately predict daily demand and automatically generate optimal orders.

The project is being implemented in stages: from September 8, MVP launched a demand forecasting solution in 20 stores in Moscow and the Moscow region. By the end of 2025, it is planned to scale MVP to the entire network. The full functional and geographical scaling of the target solution is planned for 2026.

This system allows you not only to improve the quality of demand forecasting and optimize replenishment throughout the supply chain, but also to rebuild business processes logistics and quickly adapt to changing external conditions.

The transformation of the commodity movement function and the transition to end-to-end planning with the implementation of target processes will allow us to accurately calculate the need for inventory for each node of the supply chain. This, in turn, will help reduce the total inventory of the network and free up the budget frozen in super stocks. In addition, it will be possible to increase the level of availability and reduce write-offs to increase the financial efficiency of the company, said Igor Kobelev, head of the department for the development of commodity movement of the Dixy retail chain.
