Administration of the Vladimir region (Oracle Database 11g)

The RDTECH company completed the initial stage of creation of the geographic information system (GIS) for public authorities of the Vladimir region.

Project Objectives

One of main objectives of creation of a system is integration of all types of space information, such as maps, results of geodetic shooting, data of remote sensing received from different sources. This information can be used for display and the analysis of different types of data by the interested organizations and services of the region. Project implementation will allow to consolidate the funds of the regional budget allocated for formation and development of infrastructure of processing of space data and information technologies. The proposed solution will provide online access of staff of bodies of the government of the Vladimir region to reliable information for solving of tasks of management of a territorial social and economic complex of the region.

The Committee of informatization of communication and telecommunications, Committee on power policy, departments of administrative authorities and public security, the property and land relations, health care, forestry, education, housing and communal services, environmental management and environmental protection and some other the divisions interested in the solution of their tasks using space information will be users and suppliers of information for GIS of the Vladimir region.

Expectations

GIS of the Vladimir region will allow to automate processes of input of space data from suppliers of information in the territory of the Vladimir region, processing and integration of collected information in uniform storage of space data. Multi-user access to data within powers with a search capability, display and analytical information processing will be implemented.

In general project implementation will allow to reduce costs for formation of regional infrastructure of space data and also will increase efficiency and quality of the decisions made by governing bodies of the Vladimir region.

Implementation

As a database server at the first stage of project implementation Oracle Database Standard Edition 11g with the built-in module Oracle Locator is recommended.
