Hewlett-Packard updated the Project and Portfolio Management software package in March, 2011: now it allows to manage not only IT projects, but also all other types of projects in the organization. HP PPM 9.1 has a number of the new features and modules allowing heads of the organization to monitor promotion of projects.
According to in HP, PPM allows to monitor projects of the high level of complexity. A system indicates potential weak points of the project plan, monitors accomplishment of terms, an expense of money and other resources. All indicators can be controlled using dashboards, reports and any requests.
In a system the specialized dashboard for heads of the highest level and the module of financial planning and the analysis appeared. The user interface is updated, functions of filtering and sorting of the tables created on any requests are expanded.
The new version of PPM is also integrated with tools of HP Application Lifecycle Management that allows to control compliance of the developed software to the requirements defined in technical specifications.
