Biography

Egor Yakovlev was born on March 18, 1966.

In 1990 graduated from special faculty of physics of MEPhI majoring in "automation of a physical experiment".

From 1990 to 1993 - the employee of NIKIET.

In 1993-1995 - the marketing manager of the Russian representative office of Borland corporation.

From 1995 to 1996 - the marketing director of Steepler company.

About 1996-1998 - the marketing manager in the CIS countries of representative office of Informix.

Later Egor worked in several technology companies (including Intel, as the marketing director on the region Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa), sold DEPO Computers computers, was responsible for mobile content in Amedia TV company.

In 2007 created Tvigle Media company which is engaged in placement on the servers of legal video content and makes it. Initial investments ($400,000) were made by Yakovlev and (at that time) the chief representative of Adobe Systems in Russia Pavel Cherkashin, $8 million more were invested by Allianz ROSNO fund, having received 40% of shares. In November, 2007 and December, 2008 Tvigle sold at 25% of the company to "Alliance ROSNO Upravleniye aktivami".

Tvigle produces only 7% of content on the website, but more than 30% of viewings are the share of it.

At the end of 2010 operating profit is not reached yet. The monthly audience of the website for 2010 increased from 5.5 million to 8.5 million people.

In 2011 the PromSvyazKapital company of brothers Ananyev became the shareholder of Tvigle — then it purchased 27.27% of video service.

In June, 2015 the CEO of the Russian online movie theater Tvigle Egor Yakovlev on the page on Facebook[1] about leaving from the post. According to him, it happened because of "different vision of further strategy" of the company at Yakovlev and other shareholders. The former head of online movie theater added that it remains the shareholder of the company and reserves the place in Board of Directors.

Egor cooperates in the Agency of Strategic initiatives within the National Technology Initiative program for the MediaNet direction in the status of the expert, teaches in Moscow Film School at the British school of design in Moscow.

In January, 2016 it became known that Egor Yakovlev, the vice president of LeRee, leaves the company in which he worked 4 months.
